Call for applications: The Seventh Russian-European research papers competition

28. 5. 2020

Dear Colleagues,

The Centre for German and European Studies, a joint institute of St. Petersburg State University and Bielefeld University, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), aims to foster academic mobility and research collaboration between Russia and Europe, which is particularly important in these uneasy times. We kindly ask for your help in dissemination of the following information among your partners.

The 7th edition of Russian-European Research Papers Competition for junior scholars in social sciences and humanities is calling for papers. We invite  MA and PhD students based in Europe to submit papers presenting theoretical and empirical analyses of Russian society and culture from the European perspective. The authors of the best papers will get financial support to conduct research trips to Russia.

To European students, the competition provides a chance to meet their Russian and European colleagues, engage in discussions, present their work internationally, and collect data in Russia for their research projects.

The final of the Competition will gather European and Russian authors of the best papers to compete for the main prizes in November 2020, in St. Petersburg. The finalists unable to attend the final owing to COVID-related travel restrictions will have an opportunity to present online. All finalists will be invited to take part in a workshop on preparation and publication of papers in international academic journals run by a European teacher.

You can find more information in the call for papers.

Would you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me using the details below.
