    13th European Workshops in International Studies

    İzmir University of Economics, 1-3 July 2026

    The European Workshops in International Studies (EWIS), launched by the EISA in 2013, have fast established themselves as a spirited place for the European IR community to engage in sustained, in-depth discussion with a diverse range of peers from various institutions, countries, disciplines and career stages. EWIS has proven to be a popular and productive format, perfect for preparing special issues, edited volumes or exploring new ideas, themes and directions in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

    PRE-ARRIVAL INFORMATION – EWIS 2026 

    Dear EWIS 2026 delegates,

    We are looking forward to welcoming you to the  13th European Workshops in International Studies (EWIS), to be held in Izmir, Turkey on 1 – 3 July 2026.

    Below you will find important information regarding the workshops.

    Please read the following points carefully.  

    Venue

      Izmir University of Economics (IUE):

      The EWIS event will take place in three buildings in total at Izmir University of Economics.

      Registration

      The registration desks will be located on the 1st day, 1 July in Building A and on the 2nd–3rd day, 2–3 July in Building C & M

      Registration Opening Hours:

      • 1 July 2026:            11:00 – 17:15
      • 2 July 2026:           08:30 – 17:45
      • 3 July 2026:           08:30 – 17:45

      Please note that badges need to be always worn at the venue during workshops.

      Technical Information for Presenters:

      All presentation rooms are equipped with a PC, a whiteboard, and a projection system.

      Presenters are welcome to use the room PC to display their presentations and other materials. Files can be transferred via a USB drive or downloaded directly to the PC (e.g., from email or cloud storage).

      Each room also has a connection cable available for presenters who prefer to use their own laptop. Please note that the cable is connected to the room PC by default and must be unplugged before connecting your device.

      Please be aware that Apple adapters/connectors are not provided. If you plan to use an Apple device, please bring any necessary adapters with you.

      Certificate of Attendance
      All registered delegates present on-site are entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance. The certificate can be downloaded from the Online Portal after the Workshops.

      Lunch and Coffee Breaks

      Coffee breaks will be served in Building M–01, Building C–2.
      Lunches will be available in Building M–Hall

      Internet
      Participants can use the “econet-guest” network. Additional info will be available at the registration desk.
