Polly Pallister-Wilkins is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Amsterdam. Her research is focused on humanitarian responses to border violence and mobility injustice and more recently race and racism in humanitarianism and the possibilities (or not) of decolonisation. Her book (2022) Humanitarian Borders: Unequal Mobility and Saving Lives (Verso) was awarded the 2023 International Political Sociology book award at the ISA.

Polly is an Associate Editor of the journal Geopolitics and serves on the editorial board of Security Dialogue and the Journal of Borderlands Studies.
