The Interconnected Worlds of the Past and the Present: Co-constituting the International

EWIS 2022 will take place at the University of Macedonia / Thessaloniki from 6-9 July 2022. The European Workshops in International Studies (EWIS), launched by EISA in 2013, have fast established themselves as a spirited place for the European IR community to engage in sustained, in-depth discussion with a diverse range of peers from various institutions, countries, disciplines and career stages. EWIS has proven to be a popular and productive format, perfect for preparing special issues, edited volumes or exploring new ideas, themes and directions in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

Covid-19 Update for EWIS 2022

In line with the current official health and safety guidance in Greece, EWIS 2022 participants are not required to wear masks inside the venue. In order to keep everyone safe, we strongly encourage mask-wearing during the workshops. Workshop convenors may also institute their own mask rules in consultation with their participants.

Every workshop room will be equipped with hand sanitisers and air purifying machines will be present across the venue.
