Are you preparing a grant proposal, a special issue, an edited book, or setting up a new research network? The EISA Exploratory Symposia offers an excellent opportunity to meet in groups to pursue collaborative work.
The Exploratory Symposia aim to facilitate two kinds of research groups:

- Newly established groups that would like to meet at an early stage of a research project to progress it;
- Already established research groups that would like to meet to work out how to further their research agenda.
We encourage in particular participants and section chairs of the Pan-European Conference (PEC) on International Relations and European Workshops in International Studies (EWIS) to apply to continue their work through the Exploratory Symposia.
In 2025, EISA will host its 12th Exploratory Symposia for members in the town of Rapallo on the Portofino Coast in Italy, 26th October to 29th October 2025.
How to find the venue?
Coming to Rapallo
The EISA Symposia will be held at the Excelsior Palace Hotel (http://www.excelsiorpalace.it/en/) which is walking distance (one km) from Rapallo Train station. The closest airport is “Cristoforo Colombo” Genova International Airport (32 km from the hotel).
Shuttle bus
The easiest and most cost-effective way to reach the Excelsior is to take a shuttle bus between the airport and one of the Genova train stations, Principe or Brignole, see: http://www.airport.genova.it/en/transportation-airport/. This should take around 30 minutes.
Train
You will then need to take a train from Genova Principe or Brignole to Rapallo (it takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on which station you travel from). For further info on train schedules see: https://www.trainline.eu/train-times/genoa-to-rapallo.
Another possibility is to arrive at Milan airport. There are direct trains to Rapallo from Milan Central Station.

With wise care and light grace, the highly-qualified aestheticians can do both the classic and the more sophisticated face/body treatments, by using natural ingredients products.
Water aerobics lessons are available, too (exercise in water, relaxing and invigorating, suitable for everyone), that can take place in the outdoor pools, weather conditions permitting.

This major project will be completed in a close future, with an ethereal salt cave, a small hypersaline pool, a healthy area with aerosol stations using sea water and, last but not least, a 200mt promenade on the sea that reaches the sea from the wellness area.
