To EISA members

The EISA Governing Board recently received a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) resolution from a group of members and we would like to inform you as part of the EISA community about this communication. In line with the competence of the Governing Board such a resolution requires discussion which was not possible prior to the General Assembly at the 17th Pan European Conference in Lille. In requiring such a discussion, the current Governing Board is following the same procedure as the previous EISA leadership where a similar resolution was discussed at the May 2023 Governing Board meeting. At that time the issue remained unresolved and thus it could not move forward. The current EISA Governing Board will continue to follow the same procedure and report to the membership in due course. Before the Governing Board decides on any course of action we are seeking legal and expert advice to understand BDS as it pertains to the specificities of the EISA.
