We are delighted to invite you to the 18th EISA Pan-European Conference on International Relations (PEC), to be held at the University of Bologna, 25-29 August 2025.

Our flagship event will take place in the oldest university in Europe, in a country with a lively tradition of International Relations. As per our tradition, PEC 2025 will be organized in thematic sections, both standing and new ones, and will welcome colleagues from a diversity of disciplines from Europe and beyond. Plenary sessions will highlight key issues in current debates in international relations, with leadings experts from our association. We will also offer opportunities through our Early Career Workshops, social events, and professional development activities to nurture our community. In order to make PEC 2025 more inclusive, we will provide help for those in financial need to attend through our increased Mobility Fund. Over and above, we are committed to making the 18th edition of our conference as diverse and rewarding as possible, where ideas can be formulated, debated, criticized, shaped and sharpened through mutual respect and understanding. It is this spirit which has made EISA’s Pan-European Conferences the leading annual event in International Relations in Europe and we are looking forward to keeping this up in Bologna!

INTERNET ACCESS 

Eduroam 

Through the eduroam (education roaming) interconnected network, students and staff of participating academic institutions can access the Internet via WLAN during a guest stay at the sites of all articipating organizations. 

For guests of participating eduroam-affiliated institutions the account of the participating affiliated institution with the corresponding password is used. Users must contact their academic institution to find out whether their username (account) is activated for the use of the eduroam network. 

Wi-Fi 

Public Wi-Fi will be available in the venue. 

REGISTRATION 

The Registration desk will be located on the ground floor of the Belmeloro building (Via Beniamino Andreatta 8).

Delegates who have not yet settled the registration fee in full will be asked to pay the amount due. The registration desk accepts Credit / Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard) only. 

Please note that badges need to be always worn at the venue and related social events during this conference.   

Lost or forgotten badge  

Kindly note that the emission of a new badge is charged with an administrative fee of 10 EUR.

Information for Speakers

Each lecture room is equipped with a computer and a data projector. Please ensure you have easy online access to your presentation or save your presentations on a USB stick. Please come to the lecture room early to see if your presentation works properly.   

Please ensure your presentation is in a commonly compatible format (PowerPoint /PDF). 

The preferred presentation format is a PowerPoint file (*.pptx) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. However, you can also bring a video file, PDF file, or PowerPoint in a 4:3 aspect ratio, or you don’t have to bring a presentation at all.   

Please note that Apple Keynote and Prezi presentations are not supported and must be converted into PPT or PDF files.

Insurance

The Organizers do not accept liability for personal injury, loss or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons during or while travelling to the Conference. 

Quiet Room

A Quiet Room is a dedicated, comfortable, and silent space that is shielded from public view and can be used by participants for activities such as meeting/call, prayer or mental recharge.  

The quiet room can be found in the Palazzo Hercolani building, room: Sala Lettura. 

Certificate of Attendance

All registered delegates present on-site are entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance. The certificate can be downloaded from the Online Services Portal after the Conference.
