EISA support to IR communities in Syria and Turkey

The EISA Governing Board are deeply saddened by the news of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey as well as of the devastation it has brought. We send our heartfelt condolences to EISA members who have been affected by the earthquake and express our solidarity with them.

 As with our support package for colleagues in Ukrainian universities, we are once again introducing initiatives to support the IR communities in Syria and Turkey.

EISA will provide:

• A 1 year membership fee waiver to all existing and new members based in Syria and Turkey.
• Dedicated PEC and EWIS mobility grants to scholars who have been affected by the earthquakes.

We will continue to monitor the situation and explore other ways to support our members affected by the earthquake, including an extension to the fee waiver.
