EISA Board Elections 2019: Result Announcement

21. 6. 2019

EISA Board elections took place between 8-19 April 2019. EISA members cast their vote in the online ballot. We are delighted to announce that the following candidates were elected by our membership:

Marieke de Goede (University of Amsterdam, NL)

Gabi Schlag (University of Tübingen, G)

Cemal Burak Tansel (University of Sheffield, UK)

Catherine Charrett (QMUL, UK)

Felix Berenskoetter (SOAS, UK)

Juha A. Vuori (Tampere University, Finland)

Vineet Thakur (Leiden University, NL)

By the current Board decision, 7 (instead of the originally announced 6) new Board members were elected, as one of EISA’s current Board members has had to withdraw from the Board duties due to other pressing obligations.

The new board members will be ratified by the General Assembly at the EISA PEC19 in Sofia, Bulgaria on 12 September 2019 at 13:15-14:15. We are delighted to welcome such a strong and vibrant lineup of scholars on board of the EISA governance and look forward to doing great things for the European International Studies community together.

Best wishes on behalf of the EISA board,

Maria Mälksoo
EISA Executive Secretary
