Beste İşleyen is Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. Beste is Associate Editor of International Political Sociology and serves on the editorial advisory board of Environment and Planning D: Society and Space and Mediterranean Politics. Also, she is an affiliated researcher at Jean Monnet Network EUMENIA.
Beste’s research interests lie in International Relations, Critical Security Studies, International Political Sociology and Postcolonial Studies. Her work has appeared in, among others, European Journal of International Relations, International Political Sociology, International Studies Quarterly and Political Geography
